1963 Graduation Pendant

Years ago Starnes Jewelers recognized graduating senior girls with a gift of remembrance. For most of the years this was done, the gift was a teaspoon from the young lady’s silver pattern that most girls would have selected by graduation.

In 1963, the gift was not a teaspoon but an academic “key” charm/pendant such as this one engraved with the year of graduation. This time the gift included boys as well as girls.

Thanks to Nelson Smith of Albemarle’s graduating class of 1963 for allowing us to display this example.
